GraphCommerce

GraphCommerce development with the backend and operating model in view

Webseek supports GraphCommerce implementation for relevant Magento and Adobe Commerce environments. We assess the storefront requirements, backend interfaces and ownership needed to make a headless architecture workable.

Discuss GraphCommerce

Understand what is changing

GraphCommerce provides a framework for a separate headless storefront connected to a Magento backend through GraphQL. It should be evaluated as an application with its own implementation and operating responsibilities.

Your current backend, extensions, checkout requirements and content workflow shape the scope. A framework choice does not resolve those dependencies by itself.

Define the storefront and interface requirements

We review catalog presentation, customer journeys, content, cart and checkout behavior. The interface plan identifies which required data and actions are available through the backend and what adaptation may be necessary.

GraphQL is an API query approach; GraphCommerce is a storefront framework. Their relationship matters when assessing whether existing functionality can be exposed to the new experience.

Plan complete journeys across the architecture

Validation needs to cover the storefront and backend together. Product availability, pricing, account behavior and checkout should be checked against the actual requirements, with representative errors and unavailable-data states included.

Deployment, environment ownership and monitoring are defined alongside the build. Changes to the storefront and backend need coordinated review where they share interface expectations.

Questions before you begin

Useful answers before the work starts.

Will existing extensions work unchanged?

That must be assessed against the extension and its API support. The implementation plan records any adaptation or alternative needed.

Is GraphCommerce a complete backend replacement?

The scope described here uses it as the storefront layer. Backend responsibilities remain part of the wider commerce architecture.

Can you confirm fit before a full build?

A requirements and architecture review can establish the dependencies and unanswered questions first.
