Maintenance & support
Keep your live systems ready for the next change
Commerce platforms and connected workflows continue to change after launch. Webseek provides ecommerce maintenance and support through an agreed scope for troubleshooting, updates, releases and technical improvement.
Continuity after launch
A clear route from request to release.
- 01
Establish a workable starting point
We review the system, access, dependencies, documentation and known issues before defining support responsibilities. For an inherited or unstable implementation, a technical audit may be the first step.
The engagement should make clear which platforms, integrations and environments are covered, which other providers are involved and who can authorize production changes.
- 02
Give requests a clear route
Support needs range from defects and compatibility concerns to content-related technical changes and planned improvements. We agree how requests are submitted, classified and prioritized against business impact and available capacity.
Urgent issues need a defined escalation path. Response windows, coverage hours and service commitments are set in the engagement agreement.
- 03
Release changes with the surrounding system in view
Updates can affect storefronts, extensions and connected workflows. Scoped maintenance can include compatibility assessment, staging validation, regression checks and release notes. Recovery planning should reflect the system and the consequences of reversing a change.
For automation and AI workflows, continued operation may also require credential updates, workflow checks and renewed evaluation after material changes.
- 04
Keep ownership visible
Useful reporting explains what changed, what remains unresolved and what needs a decision. Documentation and operating notes support continuity when people or vendors change.
Monitoring, backup and recovery responsibilities are defined explicitly where included. Their frequency, coverage and response arrangements depend on the agreed operating model.
Questions before you begin
Before we begin.
Can you support a system built by another team?
Yes, subject to a review of access, condition, dependencies and the responsibilities Webseek would take on.
Can maintenance include new development?
Ongoing improvement can be included, with larger changes scoped separately when they exceed the agreed capacity or risk boundary.
Can our agency manage the client relationship?
Yes. Agency support can define the communication and approval structure around that relationship.
